High-Performance Programme

The High-Performance Programme was launched to provide the club’s high-performing athletes with the support and guidance they require to achieve their true potential and continue their rise up the Power of 10 rankings. The hope is that one day they will be selected to represent their country at a Senior Level.

The programme applies to athletes who are first claim members of Dacorum AC and in the U15 age group (or higher) and taking part in officially recognised U15 through to Senior competitions.

Gold Level

Athletes will be invited into the Gold level programme once they have achieved one of the following criteria:

  • Selected to represent their home country.
  • Grade 1 AAA standard.
  • Medallist in a National Age Group Championship.
  • English Schools National Standard.
  • Selected to represent their county as an individual at an English Schools Championship (achieving English Schools Entry Standard or above).
  • Finish in the top 16 as an individual at an English Schools Cross Country Championships.

Once an athlete has achieved one of the above criteria, they will remain in the programme for the season in which they achieve the criteria and the following season. There will be an ongoing review of all athletes in the programme and a full review in October each year. Athletes must achieve the criteria each season to remain in the programme the following season.

Current benefits of the Gold level will include support with:

  • Physiotherapy
  • Sports Therapy
  • Sports Massage
  • Nutrition
  • Sports Psychology
  • Strength & Conditioning

Aspire Level

Athletes will be invited into the Aspire group if they have achieved a Grade 2 AAA standard. Athletes who are currently in the Gold level but have not achieved the criteria during the season but have been significantly hampered by injury will also be considered for the Aspire group for the following season.

Current benefits of the Aspire level will include support with Sports Therapy and Strength & Conditioning.
