After last weekend’s momentous weekend which saw what must have been the record for D&T Roadrunners running a marathon on the same day with 39 souls completing the 26.2m this weekend was a little on the quiet side. Most of last weeks runners would have woken this morning and saw the beautiful sunny, windless and cool morning and thought why not last weekend.

One person who ran through the rain last week was also lining up for a half marathon this morning in the sun. The event which runs along the coast between Herne Bay and Whistable and was running its 3rd edition this morning was the Saxon Shore Half Marathon. Adrian Eeles who was our first runner last week to start and finish was our representative for this year’s race as he was last year. Adrian ran very well after last weeks efforts with a time of 1;38;09. Well done Adrian.

Nearer to home was the Moor park 10k in which from what I can tell our only runner was Alex Mcnally who finished in 223rd place with a great time of 56;16 on a course with a big hill to negotiate Well done Alex.

Alison Richardson completed in the Jersey Virtual half marathon a race and place very close to her heart with a run from home around the Ashridge Estate.

Well done Alison.Congratulations to all our runners. Hope you all had a good weekend of recovery and runs on such a lovely day for stretching the legs.
