Road Runners
The Road Runners are a very social group. Many of us are keen competitors, while others join to improve their fitness and reach new targets, and still others just like to get together for a run and a chat. But we all have one thing in common – we like to get together for a friendly drink, which frequently involves cake, both after running and at other times during the year. From our end-of-the-month socials at the nearby Ski Centre to post-race pub visits, regular stops at the Ashridge cafe for cake and coffee and our annual – and very memorable – Christmas formals, we like to have fun. Every member is always welcome to join in our social events – good times guaranteed!

We’d be very grateful for donations towards the upcoming Christmas Party raffle so please bring them along to the club and either hand over to Sylvia on a Tuesday or Thursday evening or to one of us clearly marked as “Christmas Party raffle”. Do you have any contacts who can donate something towards our raffle for instance, a gym pass, hair or beauty voucher, sports equipment/clothing/gels or other items? Search your cupboards for any unwanted gifts which can include items like chocolates, tins of biscuits, wine, toiletries, basically anything you’d like to win in a raffle yourself. Presentation Evening

Our annual awards night is an important event in the club calendar as it provides us with the opportunity to recognise, not only the many successes our athletes but also, with the coaches awards, those members who have worked hard through the year and have applied themselves to the best of their ability.
We have enjoyed a successful year and I hope that as many of you as possible will attend to help celebrate the achievements of our members across all events and disciplines.
The evening starts at 7pm with welcome drinks before the presentations commence at 7.30pm and the event lasts a little over an hour. We ask that you please bring your own snacks and additional drinks.
